The annual, National celebration of books and reading is back and raring to go!
Between 21 and 27 November libraries across Scotland will put on a spectacular programme of events to get everyone smitten with the written. A little bit of stress, real-life SAS adventures and superb storytelling are just some of the things on show in East Renfrewshire for Book Week Scotland.
Are you feeling stressed? We can help! In The Stress Test psychologist Professor Ian Robertson reveals how we can all shape our brain's response to pressure and answers the question- 'Can stress ever be a good thing?'
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Colin MacLachlan has had to cancel the event below. We hope to reschedule soon.
Colin MacLachlan (pictured), SAS veteran and star of Channel 4 TV show 'Who Dares Wins' will be sharing his experiences as part of the SAS and what it means to be a modern soldier, to work in the SAS, to have a gun held to your head, to see your friends die beside you - all in the line of duty. Not to be missed
Wee, curious minds will love going on an adventure with storyteller Emily Dodd, taking in sounds, smells, science experiments and a few surprises.
And it doesn't stop there... full details of all events can be found at: ercultureandleisure.org/BWS2016
