Green Arts Initiative

East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure is proud to be part of the Green Arts Initiative.

Creative Carbon Scotland logo Run by Creative Carbon Scotland the Green Arts Initiative supports Scottish arts organisations to be at the forefront of growing an environmentally sustainable Scotland. East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure is proud to be a member of the Green Arts Initiative since April 2016.

The Green Arts Initiative is an interactive community of arts organisations working to reduce their environmental impact and letting the public and audiences know what they are doing. By sharing our experiences with other arts organisations, the network aims to improve environmental sustainability and help us grow the success of our efforts.

We have celebrated being Green Arts Members by hosting an annual 'Green Arts Week'; focusing on sustainability and utilising recycled materials in our programme of creative classes. We also attend the annual Green Arts Conference, were we learn and share ideas for improving our practice.
