The local athletes were led by the Active Schools team from East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure, whose Team Leader Barry Cook said: "The County Championships are now firmly back on the calendar as an annual athletics event.
"It's a fantastic achievement to win this highly competitive event for the third time and my congratulations go to all the athletes from our schools who won medals and who contributed to the team.
"My thanks also go to the Active Schools teams from the three local authorities and our local athletics club partners Giffnock North AAC, Kilbarchan AAC and Inverclyde AC for their brilliant work in organising a brilliant competition for the pupils."
