Our commitment to programming
Performing arts in East Renfrewshire focuses on Eastwood Park Theatre, Schools, Community Halls and outdoor venues.
Our aim is to provide quality theatre to as many people as possible within a variety of settings and formats.
We aspire to develop a range of performing arts and a balanced programme. We will programme diverse art forms in non-traditional venues and across the range of cultural options. We will test innovative work, build new audiences and meet the growing public appetite for quality theatre.
Alongside a core programme of dance, drama, music, children's theatre, film we are working hard to develop new audiences in classical music and comedy and to expand our screening programme, which has so far seen us bring National Theatre Live, Matthew Bourne ballets and the Royal Opera House shows to Giffnock.
We require new partnerships for delivery of diverse content and hope to develop co-produced performances in future when the space becomes fit for this purpose. Alongside our core programme of drama, dance and classical music we're interested in building audiences for contemporary theatre, new writing, and dance.
