Library events are free of charge and can be booked by calling the library. Contact the library.


Bookbug Sessions 0 - 3 years
Bookbug sessions introduce music to the very young using simple rhymes, stories, and songs. These fun, interactive sessions, including some just for babies, are held regularly in libraries throughout the year. Find your nearest Bookbug session.


Teddy Bears Picnic
If you go down to the woods today... Bring your favourite teddy along for story time, songs and a chance to make your very own 'teddy head'.

Funny Face Planters
Be amazed as your little one decorates their very own 'funny face' plant pot and plants seeds in their personalised pot

Sensory Sea World
Make your own sea world! Explore all things nautical and bring the ocean waves home with this fun themed craft.

Under the Sea Crafts
Inspired by the book "Commotion in the Ocean", create your own Sharks, Dolphins, Crabs, Star fish and many more using paper and shells.

Brighten up the outdoors on a breezy day with your own whirling paper windmill.

  • These events are ticketed, except the Bookbug sessions
  • Tickets are available from Monday 26 June.
  • Children under 5 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • All children are very welcome at these events. If your child has additional needs please call our Children's Team on 0141 577 3513.
  • Children may be photographed during library events. If you do not want your child included in this please notify us at time of booking.
