Eastwood dance project continues to grow

Talented Dance leaders from Eastwood High have now expanded their activities to include Isobel Mair School

With a busy few months ahead (all are sitting prelim exams!) they are still fully committed to helping others through dance and are looking to deliver another after school block for IMS in February 2018. Several of the pupils involved are also looking towards further developing their dance instructor qualifications and to take classes beyond their time at school.

The girls have also worked very closely with Miss Watt from the PE department to organise an Eastwood High Dance showcase ahead of the ERCL Active Schools Dance Championships that take place on the 14th and 15th March 2018. This ERCL event will offer a great opportunity for both beginners and experienced dancers from all over the area to show off their dancing ability.

With new additions to the dance delivery team, it is clear to see the positive and inspiring nature of the activity taking place at Eastwood with more and more pupils gaining an experience in dance.

To find out more about the ERCL Active Schools Dance Championships or to find out about dance activities in general across East Renfrewshire please contact the Active Schools Team.

There is a great atmosphere around Eastwood High School created by the pupils leading our dance activities. The inspiration they create is easily visible and truly is a great example of sport and physical activity at its best. The pupils are a credit to themselves and the school.
