St Luke's Sports Council was set up at the start of the 2018/19 academic year to help improve the sporting opportunities and choices on offer at the school. With the assistance of the P.E department and Active Schools Coordinator, the schools' two Young Ambassadors created the sports council which is made up of representatives from each year group. They meet twice a month and discuss ways to improve P.E, sport and physical activity inside and outside of the school curriculum. The representatives are the voice for their year and also feedback any of their years' ideas to the council.
Raising the profile of sport, celebrating sporting success, offering targeted sporting opportunities to each year group and working with community sports clubs are only some of the initiatives that the sports council have tasked themselves with improving over the school year.
