Code Club

East Renfrewshire Libraries run a free beginners coding course for 8 to 13-year-olds called Scratch Basics. Over the course of 8 one-hour sessions young people follow project guides specially created by Code Club.

We provide support to help young people progress through the projects, to create games, animations, and web pages using the block-based programming language Scratch.

Scratch Basics runs during school term time at the following libraries:
Barrhead LibrarySaturday 11.30am to 12.30pm
Clarkston LibraryWednesday 3.45pm to 4.45pm
Eaglesham LibrarySaturday 10am to 11am
Mearns LibraryFriday 3.45pm to 4.30pm

Demand is very high for places so we run a waiting list system. Complete the form below and we will contact you as soon as a space becomes available. If the child has already attended Scratch Basics please do not register again.

If you are using a mobile device tap here to access the full version of the registration form.
