Venue closures, customer payments and library book loans

Temporary Closure due to coronavirus

We continue to follow the Scottish Government's guidance and all East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure services and venues remain temporarily closed. We anticipate re-opening our services in stages, in line with the government's phased approach. Unfortunately we are unable to give you a reopening date at this time, but we will keep you updated.

In preparation for our reopening, our staff are working hard to make sure we will be ready to welcome you back.

Our approach to health, cleanliness and social distancing

We can assure you that the health and wellbeing of our customers and staff is our priority. We will put social distancing and cleanliness measures in place to keep all our customers and staff safe.

  • We will re-open with new hygiene and cleanliness measures for all our venues and facilities. We will clean frequently and thoroughly and will have hand sanitiser ready for you to use.
  • We will be implementing clear social distancing measures, in line with Government guidance.
  • Our staff will receive training prior to re-opening so that they are ready to help and support you when you return.

Supporting your health and wellbeing at home

  • We're still filming at-home fitness classes for both adults and children which we stream live from our Facebook page.
  • You can also visit our 'at home' webpage to access a range of activities from fitness and online digital library services to arts and theatre activities.

Customer payments

All membership fees, including direct debits, are frozen throughout the closure.

All customers who paid for classes or other services that could not be delivered have been contacted directly about their payments. 

All theatre customers who had booked tickets for shows on or after 18 March have been contacted directly.  We are rescheduling shows where possible and have offered customers the option of transferring tickets to the new date or a refund. 

Our contact services are busy and we appreciate your patience.

 

Library BOOK loans

During the library closures, we have automatically renewed all library book loans. If we cannot renew your book loans, because the books have been reserved by someone else, we will waive any charges incurred during this period.

We ask that you kindly hold on to any library books and return to us when we reopen.
