Freagra-A Blurred Expanse, Wednesday 28 February, 7.30pm, Eastwood Park Theatre

A playful, colourful performance of contemporary dance, suitable for all ages, with universal themes of community, conflict and harmony. Performed by five exceptional dancers, choreographed by Rob Heaslip, and accompanied by an original music score and breath-taking lighting and costume design.

Rob Heaslip is a choreographer who addresses themes of unconscious, unsought & unexpected behaviour, telling stories about people, how they think, move and act amongst each other.  Rob is the Director and Choreographer for Glasgow Youth Dance Company and also works in dance for screen, including choreographing scenes and opening credits for the internationally acclaimed TV series Outlander.

"...by the end of the 50-minute piece, it has become increasingly hard to resist becoming caught up in its every nuance" THE TIMES ★★★★

Following the performance of FREAGRA | A Blurred Expanse, Ross Whyte performs a set of original music, including tracks from his debut album Kaidan, as well as his music from A Blurred Expanse itself. Ross is also one half of WHYTE, a Gaelic electronic duo whose debut album Fairich has won several awards and regular national airplay.

N.B. Schools are allowed into both technical and dress rehearsals in the days before the performance, to understand the development of performances, dance technique and the technical requirements for a show. For more information on these opportunities, please contact us.
