Kids Swimming Lessons - new programme

Information for customers who were using our children's swimming lesson programme before lockdown

Update 21 December 2020:

Due to COVID-19 restrictions our swimming lesson programme is suspended. We will update all customers on a restart date as soon as we can.

Update 22 October 2020:

BOOKINGS NOW OPEN FOR OUR NEW SWIMMING LESSON PROGRAMME

We will be re-starting our Learn to Swim programme in phases as follows:

  • Eastwood Park Leisure - week beginning Monday 26 October
  • Barrhead Foundry - week beginning Monday 26 October
  • Neilston Leisure - week beginning Monday 2 November
  • Eastwood High School - re-opening date for the swimming pool has still to be confirmed

Our new Learn to Swim programme is running at a reduced capacity therefore spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first served basis. Our programme is only open to customers who were booked into swimming lessons before lockdown began in March 2020.

Booking your swimming lessons

To book your swimming lessons you need to register on our 'Home Portal', our online booking system. You will need to register even if you have used our Home Portal before.

How to book your swimming lessons

  • Log on to our Home Portal using this link:  https://leisure.ercultureandleisure.org/homeportal/
  • Select option 'register now' (button on right hand side of the screen)
  • Enter your 'Card ID' from your  swim lesson access card
  • Enter your child's date of birth and your email address or postcode
  • If you have more than one child in lessons, you have the option of adding other children
  • Complete the registration by setting your password
  • You will receive an activation email confirming your account
  • Click on the link in your activation email
  • Select your preferred day and time for your swimming lesson

We advise you to book your swimming lessons as soon possible so that you can book your preferred day and time.As we have reduced capacity in our venues, our lesson programme is limited and the timetable is different to our previous programme.

Payments

All swimming lessons that you paid for earlier this year but didn't receive due to COVID lockdown remain as a credit on your swimming lesson account. If you don't wish to return to lessons yet, we will continue to keep your account frozen.

Additional Support

If your child is returning to lessons and has a medical condition or additional support needs, please email swimlesson@ercultureandleisure.org and our swimming teachers will continue to support your child.

Update 9 October 2020:

We look forward to welcoming you back to swimming lessons!

The safety and well-being of our customers and staff is our priority and social distancing and cleanliness measures will be in place across all of our venues and facilities. In-line with Government guidelines; we have reduced capacity in our leisure centres, made changes to our opening hours and made pre-booking essential for all activities.

We will be re-starting our Learn to Swim programme in phases, and are planning to start swimming lessons in our centres as follows:

Eastwood Park Leisure - week beginning Monday 26 October

Barrhead Foundry - week beginning Monday 26 October

Neilston Leisure - week beginning Monday 2 November

Eastwood High School - the date for re-opening of Eastwood High swimming pool has still to be confirmed. We will update you after the October school holidays

We have made changes to our Learn to Swim programme to ensure social distancing and enhanced cleaning. We may not be able to offer you the same day and time as your previous lesson.

All swimming lessons that you paid for earlier this year will remain as a credit on your swimming lesson account. If you don't wish to return to lessons yet, we will continue to keep your account frozen.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes before your lesson begins
  • Arrive pool ready - for a quick change, please arrive with swimming costumes under your clothes
  • Teachers will teach lessons from the poolside and will wear face coverings
  • Changing facilities will be limited and showers will not be available to ensure social distancing
  • You must wear a face covering in all communal areas
  • Depending on the venue facilities, you may not be able to spectate
  • Cleaning & hygiene - enhanced cleaning has been built into our swimming programme - staff clean all areas and surfaces before each swim session
  • Sanitising Stations - hand sanitiser is available throughout the venue
  • Please follow one-way routes in our venues
