Bookbug and Early Learning

Rise and Shine storytime

A brand new monthly activity for pre-school children has begun! 'Rise and Shine Storytime' brings stories to exciting life using senses and imagination and ends with a mini-maker activity for little ones to get creative. Each month we will explore a different theme. For 4-5 year-olds.

September Activity:  Learn about the changes in Autumn and create a seasonal hedgehog.

Bookbug and storytimes

Spark your wee ones' imaginations and let Bookbug and storytimes bring books, reading and learning to life.

Every week there will be silly songs and stories for you and your little ones to enjoy together and, of course, bubbles aplenty! Come along and join in the fun at these interactive sessions for children and their carers. We hold tailored Bookbug Sessions for babies and for toddlers as well as open sessions for children aged 0 - 4 years. Due to the popularity of sessions and limitations of space we ask that no more than two adults accompany each child.

Bookbug is Scottish Book Trust's national Early Years programme. As a national charity, Scottish Book Trust delivers the Bookbug programme locally by working in partnership with local library and education services and third sector organisations. To support local delivery of the Bookbug programme, Scottish Book Trust provides its partners with training, advice and Bookbug bags of books.
